People often feel overwhelmed, lonely, or hopeless when considering counseling. I hope to offer a space where my clients, their partners, and their families can feel understood and connected during tough times. Relationship struggles are often a core reason people seek counseling – I believe that by building strong relationships, we are better prepared to handle life’s challenges.
Using respect and humor, I’ll gently challenge my clients to explore their emotions, their choices, and their uniqueness. I use my intuition to sense what may be needed in therapy, and collaborate with clients to make counseling a positive and authentic experience.
I’m a native of Seattle, Washington. After obtaining my Master’s degree in counseling at the University of Colorado, I worked as a Licensed School Counselor with children from kindergarten through 12th grade. I also attended the Denver Family Institute, where I received my post-Master’s certification in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition, I have previously worked in community mental health with individuals with chronic mental illness and developmental disabilities.
